Hello! I hope you had an amazing holiday season. Ours was filled with family, friends and food. I also hope Santa was good to you. This year, he was very good to me. But enough about last year, let’s look forward!
Today I want to talk about our front entrance. It seems fitting since this tiny little room is the first thing you see when you enter our home. In its current state it is rather bland and unexciting. It is an awful beige color and it has no real personality.
With this in my, today’s post is all about coming up with some inspiration. I want something different from the green and blue colors going on in the living room. While I want the front entrance to be different from the living room, I also want the decor to flow and make sense. With that in mind, I am thinking about shades of mustard yellow and grey. I am also thinking about injecting some old school character back into our home. This is really important to me since 2012 marks the house’s 100th birthday!
So here is my first crack at an inspiration board. While we may not go with this exactly, I hope the tiny little room takes some inspiration from this post! I think the board is well balanced, with features that are both new and old, high-end and low-end as well as bold and understated.
So what do you think? Any suggestions? I have to say I am in love. Not surprising since it is my mood board!
