This weekend was awesome, EBN and I spent time in Canmore. We ate great food and kept great company. Much of this weekend was spent relaxing in front of the fire with my knitting. I started a new project. I needed a distraction from the small and intricate daphne purse.
I bought lovely pink wool and large needles to knit up a lovely new cowl. The cowl is called the Phydeaux Twist Cowl and it was designed by Magpie Patterns. This cowl is the exact opposite of the Daphne purse. The needles are big and it is essentially simple rows of knitting and purling. If it turns out well I think I am going to modify the pattern slightly and turn it into a large scarf. Magpie has a ton of inexpensive patterns for sewing, crochet, knitting and embroidery. You should really check it out for yourself!
So good night to all…I am going to get off the computer and finish off my weekend with a lovely cup of tea, a little This American Life (if you do not listen to this radio show, you should) and some easy knitting.
