Kicking it Old School: How to Sew a Button

Last week I finished knitting and felting my French Press Slippers.  The last step of this project involved embellishing the slippers with a set of big green buttons.  This was the perfect opportunity to cross “How to Sew a Button” off my Kicking it Old School List.

To get started I gathered all my supplies which included the slippers, my buttons, a big needle and some yarn.  From here I tired to explain and document the process for the blog and failed.  It was to harder than I thought.  If you want a good explanation on how to sew a button, check out this video from Thread Banger

Here is the final project!  What a nice finishing touch!

The green goes really great with the grey and i like how the buttons look oversized…maybe they are?
