This weekend I painted my front door a bright and cheerful shade of green. I was inspired by Jane over at Modern Jane. In early August Jane painted her door a vibrant shade of green and I fell in love.
I still really hate the rose-frosted glass panel. It’s so gross, but for now I am stuck with it.
I must admit that when I started painting the door I had serious doubts. It looked really terrible for the first three coats of paint. In total it took four coats. I’m not sure why it took so many coats of paint, but it may have had to do with the fact that I used a Behr primer+paint instead of actually priming and painting separately.
Here is closer look at the colour. What do you think? I like it much better than the boring old white door!
Here is the before picture again:
I can’t decide if it is lime or avocado or a little bit of both… All I know is that it is much better than plain white!
