Last week in Kelowa I stopped at a fabulous knitting store called Art of Yarn. While I was there I picked up a big beautiful button to add to my cowl. You may remember that I finished knitting the cowl a couple weeks ago. The button is a handcrafted by a company called Lantern Moon. According to their website “Lantern Moon is proud to offer beautiful and functional handcrafted products”. At Lantern Moon they acknowledge “…the skills and cultures of the people who make [their products] and support socially and globally conscious living. If you are looking for button, Lantern Moon has some of the most beautiful products I have ever seen.

What do you think? I think the button finishes off the cowl quite nicely! I also think that sewing a big button onto a scarf is a great and inexpensive way to give it a new stylish life.

Love it! I need to find some places to get unique buttons like this. Is it purely decorative or do you have a button hole for it? You picked a nice color for the scarf- so much more fun than a neutral. Well done!
