Late last year I started flirting with the idea of painting a chalk wall. Eric was reluctant at first and just before Christmas he finally came around. You have already had a first glance at our chalk wall sWhen we used it as a backdrop for our Christmas party photo booth. Today I thought I’d give you an idea of what it looks like on any regular day. Yeah I am super slow on this post. It is rather terrible. Chalk it up to short winter days and few hours to take pictures. That and major procrastination.
It has turned into a bit of a reading nook complete with faux barcelona chair, book shelf and shag rug. It is also nice when we have company over for dinner. Our guests can sit in the nook while Eric and I work away in the kitchen. I also love to sit here while I talk on the phone. The faux Barcelona chair is incredibly comfortable.
The best part about the chalk wall is that we seem to be wasting a lot less food now that the menu is posted directly on the wall. One day I hope to replace the chair with a real barcelona chair. Made of creamy white leather instead of black. Sigh. Maybe one day.
