This weekend I went out to the Millarville Christmas Market and discovered local photographer Amy Victoria Wakefield.  I was so excited to discover Amy’s work.  She has some great shots of my neighborhood that I am lusting after.  I bought a few Christmas gifts from her as well as a set of super cute polaroid magnets.  I thought they would be perfect for the future magnet chalk board inside my kitchen.  Eric caved and I am getting my chalk wall after all!

While I have never been one to blog about politics, I was so moved and inspired by the tribute to Jack Layton developing in Toronto’s Nathan Phillips Square. The people of Toronto have gathered and have been paying their respects to Jack Layton with chalk.

For those of you who have never heard of Jack Layton, he was the leader of the NDP, Canada’s Official Opposition Party. Even if you are not Canadian, and have no idea who Jack Layton is, you must admit that this is a moving tribute.
