I just realized that I have not posted photographs of my bedroom curtains. I finished sewing the curtains a few weeks back and meant to post the pictures ages ago.
I started off using hem tape as suggested by Sherry over at Young House Love. It works well but I found the process rather time consuming.
My mom is anti hem tape. She encouraged me to pull out my sewing machine and give it a go. She said sewing would be faster and easier. I was skeptical, but it turns out she was right.
I was really nervous about sewing. It had been 15 years since I last sat down at a sewing machine. It went well and I am glad I ended up sewing the curtains. I think sewing will hold up better than the hem tape in the long run. The end result seems more durable to me.
